Conquer the ultimate step in the quest for a me-made wardrobe: jeans, with a class that will cover all the fit tweaks and finishing details of these denim essentials.
Choose from straight or skinny leg versions of either the Closet Case Ginger Jeans, or the Cashmerette Ames Jeans patterns, and take advantage of all our testing and tweaking to get the absolute best result from each pattern.
The class will cover fitting jeans, sewing pockets, waist stays, front placket zips, and flat felled seams, as well as topstitching denim and setting rivets & tack buttons.
Students should expect to spend 2-3 hours outside of class sewing each week.
Materials: Students will need to provide the pattern of their choice, and all fabrics and notions for the jeans.
Teacher: This class is taught by our awesome sewing expert Leimomi Oakes.
Level: Suitable for those with very high intermediate and higher sewing experience. Students should be comfortable sewing trouser or shorts with front placket zips.
*due to the expected popularity of this class, we are running two sessions of it at the same time – the other session is running Fridays from the 13th July-10th August
