A class for those who would like to begin making their own dresses. We will be using the Tui Dress from The Sewing Revival. This is a great entry level design for those just beginning their sewing journey, or a quick sew for those with more experience.
In this class we learn:
- How to apply neat and pucker free neck facings
- How to do in-seam pockets.
- You have the option of trying colour blocking.
Level: This class is ideal as a follow-up to Absolute Beginners Sewing, or a refresher for someone just getting back into sewing. Students should be comfortable cutting fabric and operating a sewing machine.
Materials: Students are required to purchase their own copy of the pattern, and all fabric and notions needed for their dress. A printout of the pattern will be provided.
Teacher: This class is taught by our awesome sewing expert, Wendy Anscombe.
To register for the class, please email Wendy with your name, a contact number and the name of the class you’d like to be in as the subject line.
Location: this class will be held at Made Marion’s new location at 166 Cuba St – between Ghuznee and Vivian Sts, beside Olive Café
