Making a Cushion Cover from Teatowels
November 30, 2013 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm$40
Saturday 30 November, 10am-1pm $40.00
Finally, something gorgeous to make out of all those beautiful teatowels you’ve bought or been given. Because when they are new, they are too precious to dry the dishes with, eh!
I will guide you through making a cushion cover out of two tea towels. You can opt to do it by hand, or use the sewing machine but either way, you won’t be cutting them at all.
This means that if you tire of your lovely cushion cover, you can unpick it, throw the teatowels in the wash, and put them in the teatowel drawer.
Make for yourself, or ideal as Christmas presents.
You will need to bring:
- At least two teatowels, the same size, that go together (or are the same).
- A cushion inner, usually size 16 or 18 for standard tea towels.
If you work fast, you my be able to make a second cushion cover, so do bring extra supplies just in case.
We provide the thread or yarn for assembling your cover – buttons are extra. All equipment including sewing machines is provided!
