DESCRIPTION:Thursday evenings 21\, 28 March\, 4 April\, 6-8.30 (this is a three-session class) \nCost: $110 (includes handouts\, a folder\, and fabric for all examples). \nTo register for the class or to ask a question about any sewing class\, please email Leimomi with your name\, a contact number and the name of the class you’d like to be in as the subject line. \nWant to improve your sewing finishes by learning to hand sew beautifully (or just learn what all those stitches are in the first place!?) \nCome spend three awesome nights with our hand-sewing expert (she sews ridiculous\, huge\, historical dresses totally by hand)\, learning how to sew a whole bunch of amazing\, useful hand-stitches. \n \nIn the class you’ll learn: \n\nThe best materials and tools to use for different stitches\n Techniques to make handsewing as easy and stress-free as possible\n14 different stitches – and how to make them look as beautiful as possible\, while being as easy as possible\n\n\nYou’ll sew examples of: \n\nThree basic seaming stitches\nThree helpful basting stitches\nFour types of hemming stitches\nTwo amazing historical stitch techniques that allow you to create seams with beautiful interior and exterior finishes\, with only one line of stitching\nThe standard buttonhole stitch; and\nTailors tacks\n\n\nYou’ll  go away with a portfolio with your samples\, as well as diagrams and descriptions for each stitch\, suggestions of where they can be used (hemstitches can do SO much more than just hems!)\, and tips to learn more about them. \n  \n \nThis class is suitable for any sewing levels\, as long as you have a reasonable level of manual dexterity. \nSewing Level: Open.
