A class for those who would like to begin making their own dresses. We will be using the Hinterland Dress from Sew Liberated. This is a great design for those looking for a timeless, comfortable silhouette.
In this class we learn:
- How to make side bust darts.
- Techniques for gathering fabric.
- How to do in-seam pockets and set in sleeves.
- How to apply bias tape finishes
Level: This class is ideal as a follow-up to Absolute Beginners Sewing, or a refresher for someone just getting back into sewing. Students should be comfortable cutting fabric and operating a sewing machine.
Materials: Students are required to purchase their own copy of the pattern, and all fabric and notions needed for their dress. A printout of the pattern will be provided.
Cost: $155
Teacher: This class is taught by our awesome sewing expert, Wendy Anscombe.
To register for the class, please email Wendy with your name, a contact number and the name of the class you’d like to be in as the subject line.
Location: this class will be held at Made Marion’s new location at 166 Cuba St – between Ghuznee and Vivian Sts, beside Olive Café
