Create a classic fitted 1950’s inspired wiggle dress that shows off your figure to perfection.

Classic fitted wiggle dress

Using a modern pattern (McCalls M5972Vogue 8630,  Vogue V1137Butterick B5032New Look 5142 or Burda Style 6975) you’ll learn how to fit a darted sheath dress with a waist seam perfectly to your figure, and how to adapt it to have different necklines and skirt options. The resulting personalised pattern can be used to make anything from office wear, to a little black dress, to a summery floral version: each perfectly fitted, sewn and finished with all the tips you’ll learn in class.

In this class you’ll learn fitting, minor pattern adaption, fine finishes, and some fun fashion history.

High Intermediate = Suitable for those with intermediate and higher sewing experience.  Level 5 and up  (depending on the amount of adaptions you wish to make to your pattern)

Cost: $155 (includes patterning tissue).

Materials: Students should bring their chosen pattern and 1m of calico for a bodice toile to the first class.  They will need the fabric for their dress and any notions called for in the pattern from the second class

To register for the class, please email Leimomi with your name, a contact number and the name of the class you’d like to be in as the subject line.
