Build up your repertoire of sewing techniques and improve your finishing details as you make these awesome, super comfortable, and really cool pants.

The Arenite pants by Sew Liberated feature fun bucket pockets, lovely finishes like french and flat felled seams, and different hem or cuff finish options.

In this class you’ll learn how to:

• work with an Indie sewing pattern
• do basic fit adjustments to a pants pattern
• sew bucket pockets
• make french seams and flat felled seams
• topstitch elastic so it never twists
• attach cuff and waistbands

The class will show you adaptations and improvements to the instructions given in the pattern, for a better result, and so you understand the techniques and can apply them to other patterns.

Sewing Level: Low Intermediate.  Students should be comfortable cutting fabric and using a sewing machine.  Topstitching the elastic requires a reasonable amount of machine control, so this class is recommended for students who have taken at least one class since Beginners, or done significant practicing on their own.

Cost: $105

Materials: Students will need to purchase and print their own copy of the pattern, and provide the fabric and notions called for in the pattern
