Cost: $125 + $20 (for a paper pattern) or $30 (for a paper pattern and a digital pattern)

The Scroop Patterns Henrietta Maria Dress

Take your sewing from Beginner to Intermediate level as you make up a versatile wear-anywhere trans-seasonal loose shift/smock dress with 3/4 length raglan sleeves, side pockets, and cunning tuck pleats which shape the neckline and sleeves.

Using the Henrietta Maria Pattern from Leimomi’s own Scroop Pattern line, you’ll learn a number of useful sewing techniques, from setting in pockets, to sewing lace-finished edges, and and creating an optional elasticised or drawstring waist

The easy fit and simple construction make the shift ideal for fairly new sewers, while the class will also give more advanced seamstresses  the opportunity to learn couture details, such as alternatives to backstitching, strap-guards and invisible hems.

This class will be making the dress version of the pattern, so that the garment includes pockets, and the possibility to do a drawstring or elastic waist.

Suitable for those with low-intermediate and higher sewing experience.  Students should be comfortable cutting and handling fabric and using a sewing machine.

The class fees give you the option to get just a professionally printed paper pattern, to use in class and take home for $20 (a $30 value), or to get the paper pattern, and an email copy of the digital pattern, so you can re-print it again at any time, if your original gets battered, or you want to make it in a different size (a $46.50 value).

Cost: $125 + $20 (for a paper pattern) or $30 (for a paper pattern and a digital pattern)

Materials: Students will need to provide the fabric and notions for their dress.  A materials list will be provided on registration.
