Make a warm and versatile winter cape with a comfortable fit, tie belt, and beautiful bias tape hem finish.

It’s a perfect project to introduce sewing wool coating to a beginner sewer, or a chance to work on technique and bias finishes for a more advanced sewer.

Working with the Sewing Revival Kea Cape pattern you’ll learn how to:

  • cut and work with light to medium weight coating fabrics
  • create neat inseam openings
  • sew beautiful topstitching
  • bias bind the asymmetrical hem for an attractive finish and a peak of colour.

Level: Suitable for those with basic fabric handling and sewing machine skills.  Perfect for adventurous beginners.

Cost: $150 (includes a print out of the pattern)

Materials: Students will need to provide the pattern, the main fabric, binding and thread for their cape.  Recommendations will be provided when you register. If students send proof of purchase of the pattern to the tutor, a print out will be provided.

Teacher:  This class is taught by our awesome sewing expert Wendy Anscombe.

To register for the class, please email Wendy with your name, a contact number and the name of the class you’d like to be in as the subject line.
