Join widely renowned fabric artist Polly Lind for a Modern Applique Tapestry class.

In this class you will be creating a single animal or object tapestry, about 36cm square with a bamboo stick and cord to hang it on, like the ones pictured (designs may vary). If you have your own idea for an applique design, please feel free to bring this along to discuss with Polly.

Polly will not only take you through the technical aspects of how to do this, she has a knack for putting fabrics and colours together and that is a part of what you can learn.

Please bring :

• your sewing machine,
• a B3 pencil,  for drawing on the interfacing
• a small pair of scissors to cut the intricate bits.
• ruler and square.
• various FQ of quilting fabric, or other woven cotton for the colourful part of the design – no stretch fabric please.
• 1/2m Calico

You will be able to buy the fabrics and calico from Made Marion Craft on the day if you prefer.  Included in your class fee is iron-on interfacing and thread.
